Magnolia landscape design is landscape design company based in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. Our focus is to create unique landscape design for every client based in any part of New Zealand - whether you are on a large property in Te Puna or Te Puke, or a smaller site in Papamoa, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga, Auckland, Hamilton or afar. Magnolia was born off the back of our thriving landscape design business in the United States. Now back home in the Bay of Plenty, our portfolio ranges from townhouse gardens in Shanghai to chic, modern backyards in the most exclusive suburbs of Orange County; from lifestyle blocks in Matakana, leafy properties in Auckland, to sleek modern architecture in Mount Maunganui.
Magnolia brings international experience and modern design skills and combines them with New Zealand’s stunning array of plants and temperate climate. We are excited to be able to bring all our experience to your home.

one-to-one basis.
We come and visit your home, take a walk around your property, discuss your needs and dreams, and, with all this in mind, come up with a scope we believe fits your needs.
We begin with an on-site consultation - this is most often a one-off, one-hour consultation and is the first step of the design process.

Below are some of our concept CAD designs so you get an idea of how we put together our vision for your outdoor spaces.
This starts with our initial ideas from visiting your property, getting to know you and your dream for your space, and coming up with what we believe will work best within the framework of the property while fulfilling your vision to the best of our ability.
You then have ample opportunity to comment, make changes, and discuss options with us.
getting a cost estimate
Every project is different. In our experience getting the brief right is the most critical part of the process. That said, it is also really important to understand how much it might cost to have a CAD design delivered - and to understand what is included.
Below are estimates for basic CAD design packages.

Pool design
$6,000 - $12,000 for detailed concrete pool design
and how its fits within its landscape.
Engineering drawings will need to sourced for council requirements.
Again, this is very dependent on the level of design required/time taken.
Small jobs
We simply charge an hourly rate to consult onsite on smaller jobs in order to answer all landscape questions and design elements.
We can work something out no matter the clients needs.
